Maxime Lhermet

Maxime Lhermet

Maxime Lhermet was born in Sète in 1974 where he lives and works and where he studied at Art School. His non-academic painting style lies somewhere between street art and pop art, and can be both figurative and abstract. The artist often loads his works with objects which he then paints. It always begins with a preliminary drawing with an indelible marker that the following phases will cover but will not erase. Maxime Lhermet endeavors to transform the banal into a work of art … creations are a balance between imagination and reality, between spooky futuristic and nostalgic visions of a flamboyant era when the “American dream” made his young heart beat, ready to devour the world.
